Jeff Snell is the inventor of the AngleMag
A self-taught woodworker, his spare time was shared between cabinet making and woodcarving and sculpting. Like the vast majority of self taught woodies, one ambition was to make finely executed hand made dovetail joints, especially dovetail joints with contrasting lining.

Having failed on several occasions Jeff became all the more determined. This determination led to the use of guiding blocks which worked to a very limited extent.
The pursuit of something in the garden, totally unrelated to dovetailing was abruptly halted by the very beginnings of the "seed of the concept".

Needless to say, water under the bridge past that point has been consigned to family history. The road from there on was and still is a lesson in absolute determination and self belief, not necessarily self confidence.
Jeff met and spoke to a few inventors, one of whom suggested he contact BEVERLEY GLEDHILL, OAM. This he did.

In due course Beverley visited Jeff and saw the invention and the many examples he had produced with the prototype.

He was invited to the the 30TH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF INVENTIONS, NEW TECHNIQUES AND PRODUCTS OF GENEVA exhibition. which was held in MAY of 2002.
His invention was placed in a category that included -BUILDING ARCHITECTURE CIVIL ENGINEERING; CONSTRUCTION; MATERIALS & WOODWORKING.

To his absolute amazement, he was awarded the GOLD MEDAL.  Jeff Snell passed on 25th January 2007.
